Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding contract between you and Harimurti Technologies ("we", "us", "Celeste"). By creating a Celeste account, downloading, installing, or using the Celeste mobile application or any related service (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in jurisdictions where that is the higher legal minimum, e.g. parts of the EEA) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account, and for keeping the device on which Celeste is installed secure. Notify us at harimurtitechnologies@gmail.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Nature of the Service

Celeste provides AI-generated horoscopes, birth-chart calculations, compatibility readings, and a conversational coach for entertainment, self-reflection, and personal-growth purposes. Celeste is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, financial, legal, psychological, or otherwise). Do not rely on Celeste content to make decisions that require expert input.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Free vs Premium

The free tier offers a limited number of daily horoscopes, coach messages, and compatibility checks, and is supported by advertising. Premium subscriptions remove the daily limits and ads, and unlock additional insights (full birth chart, weekly and monthly forecasts, retrograde alerts, deep compatibility reports).

Payment processing

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple App Store (on iOS) and Google Play (on Android). Celeste does not process payment cards directly. You agree to the relevant store's terms of sale at checkout.

Auto-renewal disclosure (Apple App Review Guideline 3.1.2(a))

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price and frequency as the original purchase unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price displayed at the time of renewal.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings at any time after purchase.
• Free trials, where offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription at the listed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Pricing

Prices are displayed inside the app in your local currency, sourced live from StoreKit (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android). We may change prices for new sign-ups at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of any price changes at least 30 days before they take effect, and may cancel before the new price applies.

5. Refunds

Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google according to their published policies. To request a refund:

• iOS: visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Android: request a refund via Google Play within 48 hours of purchase, or contact Google Play customer service for older transactions.

We will gladly assist by providing additional context to Apple or Google support if you write to harimurtitechnologies@gmail.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service or any underlying AI models.
• Bypass or attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, free-tier caps, or ads.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to access the Service.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate others through the Coach or any communication feature.
• Attempt to extract personal data of other users.
• Use the Service to generate content that is hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to harm individuals or groups.

7. Your content

You retain all rights to the messages you send to the Coach, the journal entries you save, and the readings you save. By using the Service you grant Celeste a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display your content for the limited purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your private content to train AI models.

8. AI-generated content disclaimers

• Horoscopes, coach replies, compatibility readings, and other AI-generated text are produced by large language models. They may contain inaccuracies, hallucinated facts, or culturally biased phrasing.
• AI-generated content is for entertainment and self-reflection only. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or astrological professional advice.
• Astrology itself is not a science. Celeste's content reflects traditional and modern astrological frameworks; results vary and individual interpretations may differ.
• You agree not to rely on Celeste content as the sole basis for any consequential decision.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party services including Apple App Store, Google Play, Google AdMob, Firebase, MongoDB Atlas, Anthropic, and others. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Intellectual property

The Service and all related content (excluding your user content), including software, copy, design, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Harimurti Technologies and protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, to the Service, or to third parties. You may terminate your account at any time via Profile → Delete my account permanently. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused subscription time, except where required by law or by Apple's / Google's policies.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES; IN THOSE CASES THE EXCLUSIONS ABOVE APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL HARIMURTI TECHNOLOGIES, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM AND (B) ₹2,500.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Harimurti Technologies and its affiliates from any third-party claim arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app message and an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the modified Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law.
